“A warm welcome”

We were greeted warmly with a glass of wine by our hosts Kati’a and Fulvio. Fulvio was ever cheerful, knowledgeable and willing to advise on best places and things to see and do. There was a great spread of fresh food for breakfast with espresso made personally by Fulvio. The one dinner we had there was prepared by Fulvio and was delicious. Rooms were spacious by European standards and beds were comfortable.

We were there in October and the outdoor pool was closed. No laundry available. Otherwise the courtyard was in need of some attention with weeding and new furniture.

Very friendly and accommodating hosts.

I contacted agriturismo.net before booking to ensure the pool would be open, as this was the entire reason for booking at this property. Agriturismo.net assured me it would be. When we arrived at the property and I was on my way to use the pool, I was told the filter had broken and that the pool was not available. From the look of how dirty it was, and that they told me they had called someone to fix it the week before, it was clear it had been broken for quite some time. I would not have paid the higher price for a property with a pool had I known this, and would have found a property with more guarantee on their amenities. I asked when the pool would be fixed and they said they did not know. I was very disappointed they did not offer us a discount to make up for a lack of a pool, at least on the meal we paid for at the property.

“A lovely stay.”

Very helpful owner. Great food. Comfortable room.

Tea/coffee making facilities would have been nice.

We found out after we arrived that they run a very popular Tuscan cookery class. We spoke to lots of people who had taken the class - they all seemed to have enjoyed it very much.

“Intimate Farm House outside of San Gimignano”

The rooms are well decorated and clean. This is a nice location and we had beautiful views of the hillside from our room.

The beds are very FIRM.

I had researched and looked forward to staying at San Gimignano 1155 just outside San Gimignano about 10-15 minutes. The B&B is very quaint, with only 5 rooms and one apartment. If A/C is important to you, be sure to request one of the rooms with A/C as they don't all have it. Be sure to sign up for the cooking class. We were a group and all enjoyed how to make pasta and sauces, antipastas and tiramusui. Katia was great and told us the do's and don't about Italian cooking. She also shared some information about the area and history with us. We wanted to use the pool area, but there were too many mosquitoes, so we weren't able to enjoy the pool.

Fulvio !il vous offre toute sa gentillesse et sa bienveillance pour vous faire découvrir SA Toscane. Un pur moment de bonheur. Katia, qui se met en quatre pour que votre séjour ne soit qu'une succession de doux moments.

Laissez vous guider par Fulvio, qui chaque matin vous concoctera un programme sur mesure. Pour vous rendre plus facilement à Il Vicario, utilisez les coordonnées GPS. Le soir, avant le repas n'hésitez pas à vous promener sur le chemin qui s'enfoncé dans les terres et laissez vous happer par le panorama majestueux.

Genuinely warm friendly and helpful hosts who make the stay even more special. Loved the food and wine and the central location allowed us to reach Florence, Siena, Volterra, Pisa and San G with ease - perfect spot.

Not easy to find. Follow the directions to the letter - they are accurate but there is no sign and the B&B is a part of a larger group of buildings so get out and ask......you're probably in the right place!

Wonderful and authentically Tuscan B&B experience with fantastic food and wine. Fulvio and Katya are wonderful hosts who accomodated our every need. Well located to reach San G. Florence, Sienna and Voltera by car we found it to be a great base to explore Tuscany whilst still enjoying the peace of the stunning countryside. If you want a rural Tuscan B&B experience.......this is the one!

Don't look for a sign on the main road to find it. The property is actually a part of a larger complex of buildings down a small unpaved road. Get out and ask you will be in the right place.

Chasse au trésor pour trouver l'endroit ! L'absence d'affiche en bord de route rend difficile l'accès au site. Les "voisins" ont été d'une aide précieuse pour trouver ! L'accès à Internet est par alternance... Difficile d'obtenir le signal.

Le propriétaire est de bons conseils et une aide précieuse pour profiter au maximum de notre séjour et nous faire découvrir des endroits au cachet distinctif !

Accueil très chaleureux, par le propriétaire qui a appris le français avec la belle-soeur de Léo Ferré :) Situation idéale, à 5 min en voiture de San Gimignano, ce qui permet de trouver facilement un restaurant le soir après une journée de visite dans la vallée du Chianti. Fulvio and Katia were amazing hosts, very funny and welcoming. Fulvio provided us with 2 great driving itineraries for the Tuscan region where we went wine and food tasting all day. Afterwards, dinner at the agriturismo was excellent, fresh pasta and perfect wine pairings.

You MUST get Fulvio to cook you the Florentine steak. Amazing. They even let you put your cheeses and salamis that you buy in Tuscany in their fridge so you can eat them at night with wine.

“Entspannung und Erholung in einem ursprünglichen Bauernhaus bei sehr netten Gastgebern”

Fulvio und Katia sind sehr um das Wohlbefinden der Gäste besorgt und leisten einen wirklich ausgezeichneten Job. Es war eine sehr herzliche Atmosphäre. Wir haben stets Tips für Sehenswürdigkeiten oder Restaurants erhalten und es war auch gar kein Problem Abends mal eine Pizza mitzubringen. Die Zimmer sind sehr ursprünglich aber liebevoll eingerichtet. Auch das Bad war sehr gut.

Eigentlich keine. Man muss nur wissen, dass es sich nicht um ein klassisches Agriturismo handelt, da dort keine Produkte angebaut oder hergestellt werden. Es handelt sich also vielmehr um ein Bed & Breakfast mit dem Charme einer Pension. Das ist aber nicht als Nachteil zu sehen.

Auf jeden Fall empfehlen können wir den Kochkurs mit Katia. Das hat uns sehr gut gefallen. Auch eine Vespa kann man sich bei Bruno Bellini leihen. Im Sommer lohnt es sich vielleicht vorab zu reservieren, da doch sehr viel los war. Sonst einfach Fulvio und Katia fragen, ihre Tips sind wirklich super!

We were lost and they drove to us so we could follow them back at no charge. They also welcomed us with a complementary drink. We were given excellent local knowledge for carparks! It was wonderful to experience a true "home-cooked" italian meal and not have to drive. The meal was served in the breakfast room.

Ask advice for the best local places to visit and where to park - their english was good and they could not have been more helpful! Local knowledge made visiting Sam Gimignano a breeze! Also the road they are on has 2 ends and the middle is through some 4WD single track vineyards- dont go offroad! Especially if wet!

I loved Fulvio & Katia. Pls don't confuse :)They are uncles & niece. 2 nights of stays with very freindly and helpful owner was such a plaesure. Anything about travel information or route, pls ask Fulvio. He'll be willing to help you.

No airconditioning.

You can try the dinner served by the property. It was a quite decent Tuscan cuisine, home made & home grown which was what i expected.

“Loved our stay!!!”

Absokutely loved our stay at "1155." The breakfast and cappucinos were wonderful. The owner was fabulous and humerous. Very helpful in every regard. The dinner that we had on the premises was wonderful. We loved the views out of our window.

You can rent Vespas in San Ginignano. We did....and rode to Volterra. A great day!!

“Friendly welcome - if only we had more time”

Lovely rooms and warm welcome from owners as well as good atmosphere with other guests - always a good sign.

We stayed only one night and had planned to have dinner in the town so were sadly unable to comment on the dinner arrangements, but they seemed very attractive and the owners were very helpful in recommending an excellent restaurant in the town. Would unhesitatingly recommend (but you need to be a keen walker if you don't have your own transport)

“This is a very comfortable small farm house that is very close to San Gimignano and Sienna. Although I had little trouble getting there the first time, this farmhouse is very accessible to grocery stores and other attractions. The owner is a very nic”

$NomeStruttura is in a great location - only 2 miles from San Gimingnagno and in the middle of wine country. Cappacinos flowed freely in the AM. A cooking class still makes me smile. Excellent food and a small affordable class. Rooms were beautiful.

The only drawback is internet connection but maybe they have fixed that.

SG is the very best place to sightsee and shop in Tuscany....we all loved it.

The host are there to meet you on arrival with a welcoming drink,We took the evening Meal option and decided to eat there every night of our Holiday it was that good and very good value for money. Fulvio and Katia are the most Helpful and friendly hosts with advice on where to visit and perfect directions to get there.We have returned there again in August 2009 as we really enjoyed our Holiday and will be returning again in the future.

If you go to $NomeStruttura make sure to have dinner with time at least one of the nights.. We ate here on arrival after a long drive and it was a great experience. (great value too) Also do the wine tasting with Fulvio, great wine and he is full of information. $NomeStruttura was one of the highlighs of our holiday and we intend to go back ASAP.

Fluvio was a warm, friendly and extremely good concierge for the area. He encouraged relaxation which was wonderful. The rooms were exactly as portrayed on the internet: clean, welcoming and nicely appointed.

No one in our family has 1 negative comment!

We drove around the area to other small towns, vineyards and points of interest all recommended by Fluvio. Each place had its own uniqueness. Do not miss the evening meal here...relaxing, great wine and the best Tuscan food prepared by his family.
