Beautiful farmhhouse with great and homy decoration in every room. Large common area to hang out we were confused about how to use all the space at first. The field and the forest provides great outing for a lazy afternoon.

Giacomo and his family really go out of their way to ensure you have a great time. We arrived early in the morning and Giaco was kind enough to give us a tour of the estate and a very detailed summary of the surrounding landscape and what landmarks were visible. It is a truly beautiful setting. Giaco and his son Andrea were always about to answer questions and make suggestions for places to visit. Giaco even took us to his freind's vineyard to learn more about the wine making process. We were a little lazy and opted to have dinner at the farm house a couple of evenings and it was delicious - they are very modest about their home made wine, but it is very good.
The perfect place really - if I have to pick one thing, it could be the lack of transparency on prices. We found we always had to ask how much things (dinner, breakfast) would cost so we could plan our budget. It doesn't need to be a secret though as is it very good value!

Owners wre fabulous
The accommodation and food were great, the setting wonderful and our hosts made it special, offering a great combination of freedom to do what we wanted and support and help when we needed it.Before arriving, we were asked if we would like dinner which was very welcoming. On arrival our hosts were very friendly and accommodating and provided all we asked for, including taking us to another winery to see the operation. We could not have asked for a better holiday or a nicer palce to stay
Cant think of any

Fantastic place, can not say more about the owners, they were wonderful. This will be the place we stay at when we go to Tuscany from now on. Rosella and Giacomo made us feel at home. Their food and vino were terrific
Everything about this place was wonderful . The grounds are beautiful and it is so peaceful there. We were with another couple so we had the whole upstairs to ourselves with two full bedrooms and bathrooms, kitchen and living room. Beautiful!!!!!!!!!!!

Hospitality galore! Loved the cottage accommodation.
The owners, Rosella and Jacomo, are gracious and friendly hosts. They made us feel like part of their family, inviting us to dine with them and enjoy late night conversations over a glass of their own wine. We enjoyed the private patio and gardens. Easy access to Pienza and hilltop towns of Tuscany.

The owners were lovely and very helpful - every request was dealt with promptly and without complaint. The surroundings and view are superb and the swimming pool is clean, large and was a great place for the family to congregate and have fun.
We loved the views, the rooms and the eating areas - particularly our terrace and the pool areas, both of which had fabulous views.
The kitchen could do with some reorganisation and refurbishment, but was perfectly functional.

Wonderful Experience
Absolutely lovely setting with a great view. Giancomo and Rosella were wonderful as is the whole family. They were very helpful, friendly, accomodating and so willing to arrange whatever we and others requested. Help and advice was readily given. Relaxed environment. Nice pool and common area with a pool table. We enjoyed the little bar they had overlooking a spectacular view of the countryside.
The beds in our unit "Tabachheria" were very squeaky and hard, but the rest of the house was charming and comfortable.
Thank You for all. We are sorry for the bed to much hard and now we have changed with a new bed.

Our stay at Pienza exceeded all expectations!
My husband and I stayed at Renello on our honeymoon, and we couldn't have been more pleased. We ate dinner most nights with the family and other guests, and I would recommend anyone staying do this as well! Rosella, Giacomo, Andre, and Sylvia were helpful and so interesting to get to know. We stayed in Granoia cottage, which had a great kitchen that allowed us to cook our own breakfasts and lunches. Renello was perfectly situated for viewing all the small hill towns, Florence and Sienna, but we found it hard to leave the farm everyday! We hope to return in the not so distant future...

Level of comfort was somewhat below what we had anticipated. Furthermore internet connection was also not possible from the accommodation. Owners, however, were very friendly, if not always efficient, and endeavoured to make the stay as enjoyable as possible.
As stated, owners were very friendly.
Accommodation facilities were basic.
We are sorry if internet connection is not avaiable everywhere, because the old large walls stop the signal of the wii-fi. Anyhow in the winter we will increse the signal.

Wonderful!
Giacomo and Rosella are such gracious hosts. They allowed our family to enjoy our time on their property, and yet were available when needed. On the first night, we enjoyed a family meal that Rosella made, that was perhaps our best meal together as a family. I am truly dissapointed to not have taken back more of Giacomo's wine, because after tasting wine in many regions of Italy, we all agreed that his wine was excellent. Lauryn (5) and Drew (1.5) thoroughly enjoyed roaming the farm looking for butterflies, and rocks of course for Drew. (I think I took have some Tuscan pebbles he collected in his backpack!) Great setting, beautiful mornings with the mist covering the hills. This location was great for visiting Florence, Siena, Montepluciano, Perugia, and others. The kids really enjoyed Tommy. Lauryn was very sad to leave! We really enjoyed making our own meals from locale produce, meat, cheese, etc,. picked up from close towns like Sinalunga, Montelpuciano, etc.

Unbelievable Experience.
The owners made us feel like a part of the family and welcomed us with open arms.
We were unaware that the food (breakfast and dinner) would cost extra. But, were not surprised that it did because otherwise the trip would have been an absolute steal and not fair.

Beautiful retreat in rural Tuscany
We loved our 4 days at Pienza 1928 (the Granaio cottage) and wish we could have stayed longer. It was a good central location from which to explore Montalcino, Montepulciano, Pienza, Cortona, etc. Just wish we had left some more time to relax at Renello to enjoy the beautiful surroundings of vineyards and olive groves. Giacomo and Rosella were warm and helpful hosts.

Helpful friendly owners. Superb olive oil.
Wonderful group meals from Rosella. Giacomo's olive oil degustation is not to be missed. The pool and lawn area is lovely- it was difficult to drag the family away for sightseeing. The children loved feeding the pigs & fawn.
Main oven in appartment not functioning. Small oven not adequate for 8 people but Rosella kindly made her oven available to us. Wifi only availble in limited area if property.
We are sorry for the problem of the owen, but in august we are not able to have a new kitchen. We will change all with a big owen at the finish of the summer (october).

Our stay in the Pienza 1928 was very nice. We were in "il granio". It was perfect for us (2 adults and 2 young children). The view on the siena valley was incredible. Rosella and Giacomo were perfect and very welcoming. We eat together very good meals and spent a day to the lake...wonderful.
Nice localization, beautiful swimming pool and view on the country, good dinner,
Just a detail: no guest book at our arrival in the room, you have to ask it to the boss. 1h30 if you want to go to the sea.

Spectacular Setting, Accommodating and Amusing Hosts
Amazing location, on a little hill so less humid and buggy than other places in Tuscany, and breezy at night. Wonderful pool with plenty of chairs and umbrellas. The hosts (Giacomo and Rosella) were very accommodating including preparing two great meals for our large group.
Kitchens stocked a little sparsely; for example a toaster would have been nice.

Our stay at at this property was truly wonderful, we were two couples in their 30s and our parents. The accommodation was clean and attractive with lots and lots of space for 7 people. The views were stunning and the pool was the perfect place for us to relax. Giacomo and Rosella and family were more than welcoming, cooking us dinner and spending two evenings with us. They could not have been more helpful, giving us great local recommendations and even cooking a barbecue for my 30th birthday using local delicacies including the famously large Chiannini steak which the boys loved! Rosella even made me a birthday cake! Their oil, wine and non-filtered prosecco was all beautiful, self catering also worked well using the local supermarkets. We either toured the local small and picturesque towns or relaxed by the pool or took local walks and finished every day with wine and cheese. There is plenty here for everyone to enjoy. A little piece of heaven.
The relaxing atmosphere tucked away in the Tuscan hillside is hard to beat, the barbecue Giacomo and Rosella cooked and the local towns which were so picturesque. We didn't need to go far and wide and found more than enough culture and beauty close to this place.

We are lucky to have this group from Australia. All are special persons. It' s a big pleasure for us to make all that we can for help them to have a wounderfull holiday. It's easy and nice also for us live with this friends. Thank You.

Wonderful hospitality .
Giacomo and Rosella could not have been nicer. Lovely couple and a beautiful farm. We had a very relaxing time. Also excellent cooking from Rosella, although this was unofficial. We enjoyed early morning walks with their dog though the olive groves and into the forest.
We were sorry to see that the farm cats were not sterilised and more lovely little kittens had arrived. The cats should be sterilised, or taken indoors. They were also very hungry, so we bought food at the supermarket to feed them.

Exploiting the treasures of Toscany
Due to family circumstances we were very late with booking a vacation for the summer of 2009 but we had said that we wanted to visit Toscany with an emphasis on cultural and historical sites. The late submission lead us to the aforementioned address due to its flexible availability for our odd requirement. The offered stand-alone appartment turned out to be a very good choice with more than convenient services, especially the pool and the hospitality of the owners. Services and structures are good and owner supported all our additional requirements on the spot. We were and are very happy with the vacation address and are recommending the place to friends and others. Location of the selected address turned out to be beneficial for us due to its central location within Toscany. From this location we could easily and quickly reach our pre-selected tourist locations.
The only minor point would be the shower in the appartment, which is inconveniently combined with the only toilet.

We had a wonderful time at this place. Giacomo and Rosella, along with Michela made our trip a great cultural experience. We were treated like family and will cherish the experience.
We felt like we were visiting family. We ate dinner with Giacomo and Rosella every night. The food was authentic and delicious, while the laughs we enjoyed around the table were priceless. Giacomo took my young son, husband and father-in-law fishing, which was such a memorable experience. He also toured them around the beautiful property. My daughter was invited in to Rosella's kitchen to help prepare some of the meals, and that was so special to her. Our apartment was spacious and nice, and provided plenty of room for 6 people.
The staff does like to smoke, so you will smell cigarettes every once in awhile.
